RELATIONS BETWEEN TIMOR AND INDIA
INDIAIndia and Timor Leste share warm and friendly relationsbased on shared commitmet to the values of democracyand pluralism. India was one of the early countries toestablish relations with Timor Leste. The visits of both thepresident of Timor Leste to India and India president toTimor Leste symbolizes further strengthening of bilateralrelations between two countries.
Both Timor Leste and India opened their respectiveembassies in Dili and New Delhi which indicates strongerdiplomatic growth.Additionally since 2024 as Indian students have startedpursuing their medical education at Timor Leste andsimultaneous entry of Indian business community, it isexpected the cooperation and relation would enhancefurther.
